Terms of Service

By creating an account or using MatchCard (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. The Service is operated by Carlos Magalhães ("we", "us", "the Operator"), an individual based in Portugal. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

MatchCard helps informal football groups, five-a-side crews, and leagues organize teams, schedule games, track ratings and stats, run standings, and manage championships/tournaments. Features and availability may change or be discontinued at any time.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. League admins are responsible for making sure that any player profile they add on someone else's behalf (e.g. a teammate without their own account) is created with that person's knowledge and consent.

• You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
• One account per person — don't share credentials or impersonate someone else.
• You may request account deletion at any time by emailing carlosmagalhaes.dev@gmail.com.

"User Content" means anything you or a league admin upload or submit — names, photos, player ratings, match results, and similar data.

You keep ownership of your User Content. By submitting it, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and process it solely to operate and improve the Service.

You're responsible for having the right to upload any photo or content you submit — including the consent of anyone depicted in a photo who isn't you. Don't upload content that infringes someone else's rights or that you don't have permission to share.

You agree not to:

• Upload photos or personal data of others without their consent;
• Harass, abuse, or impersonate other users;
• Attempt to bypass league passcodes, security, or access controls;
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or systematically extract data from the Service;
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

League creators and admins can invite, remove, and manage players and settings within their own league. We're not responsible for disputes between league members, admins, or players about in-league decisions (e.g. ratings, team picks, or results).

We may suspend or remove any account, league, or content that violates these Terms, at our discretion, with or without notice. You may stop using the Service, or request account/data deletion, at any time.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that ratings and stats are accurate — it's a tool for organizing recreational football, not a professional scouting service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount (if any) you've paid us in the past 12 months — currently zero, as the Service is free.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Portugal, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your own country of residence give you additional rights or a different venue.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "last updated" date above; continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
